Mackenzie Masterson is in her fourth year with Utah State as Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance. Her areas of responsibility include amateurism, eligibility, transfer portal administration, and recruiting and personnel monitoring. She also assists with NCAA and Pac-12 waiver submissions, rules education, and providing rules interpretations to coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
Masterson serves as the sport administrator for Utah State's men's and women's tennis programs and previously served as Interim SWA from mid-July 2024 to March 2026. She also teaches Leadership from the Sidelines in Utah State's Recreation Administration program.
Prior to joining Utah State, Masterson served as Assistant Director of Compliance at Stetson University.
A native of Norman, Okla., Masterson earned bachelor's degrees in marketing and sports management from Oklahoma State in 2019 and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law in December 2021.
Masterson resides in Logan, Utah, with her husband, Phil.
