Meghan Matheny

Meghan Matheny joined student-athlete academic services as an academic coordinator in April 2026. Matheny came to Utah State after spending the previous academic year at Old Dominion University working as an assistant academic advisor with football.

In her current position, Meghan provides academic oversight to the men's cross country, men's track and field, and women's tennis teams. Her responsibilities include daily monitoring of student-athlete grades, processing of NCAA initial and continuing eligibility, and communication with coaches regarding their teams and academic progress.

Meghan also oversees USU, NCAA, and Pac-12 academic and scholarship awards, maintaining application deadlines and compiling nominee lists in conjunction with academics and sports information.

A native of Ithaca, New York, Meghan graduated from Ithaca College in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in business administration with concentrations in sport management, sport marketing and a minor in legal studies. At Ithaca, Meghan was a five-year member of the women's track and field team where she won three NCAA DIII pole vault national titles and was a five-time NCAA Academic All-American. She graduated from Old Dominion University with her master's degree in sport management in 2025, and served as an athletics compliance intern in 2025 before transitioning to academics."
