Mike Bair is in his 29th year at Utah State University and currently serves as the Director of Operations for Aggie Athletics, a position he has held since 2020. In this role, Bair oversees all game-day operations and event management for USU’s 16 intercollegiate sports. He is also responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and planning of athletics facilities, including leadership on all capital improvement projects within the department.

Prior to his current role, Bair served as the Director of Equipment Operations at USU for 23 years. During that time, he managed the equipment needs for all sports, including uniforms, gear, and apparel. He also supervised a team of three full-time staff and student managers. Throughout his career, Bair has remained actively involved in the industry, serving on the Schutt Sports Athletic Council and advisory boards for both Adams and McDavid.

In recognition of his dedication and excellence, Bair was named the District 8 Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) Equipment Manager of the Year in 2010. He is a certified member of the AEMA and currently serves as the Continuing Education Unit (CEU) representative for District 8, which includes Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Wyoming, and Utah.

A native of Lewiston, Utah, Bair is a graduate of Sky View High School in Smithfield and earned a degree in Business Management from Utah State’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business in 1995. Before joining Utah State, he worked in the sporting goods industry for 10 years in both retail and team sales.

Mike and his wife, Michelle (Parker), have three children—Makayla (Dusty), Nick, and Adelynn (Carson)—and four grandsons: Jackson, Jagger, Bo, and Reggie.
