Tim Lowe is in his first season with Utah State Athletics as the department’s Assistant Athletics Director for Equipment Services. He was hired in August, 2026.
Lowe comes to Utah State after spending the past five years (2021-26) at the University of Notre Dame, where he served as the head equipment manager for two years before spending his final three years as the department’s Associate Director of Olympic Sports Equipment and Apparel.
Prior to his time at Notre Dame, Lowe spent more than two years (2019-21) as the head equipment manager at South Dakota State. He began his collegiate equipment career at Drake University, where he spent five years (2014-19) as an assistant equipment manager after serving as an equipment manager intern for five months.
Lowe is an active member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) and has been an AEMA Certified Athletic Equipment Manager since 2016. He has demonstrated a strong commitment to professional development through his service on the AEMA Program Committee, including a term as co-chair, as well as the AEMA Certification Steering Committee.
He has also been a featured leader and presenter at national industry conferences. He has served as a lead moderator for breakout sessions at the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) National Convention and AEMA National Convention sessions addressing trends and key issues in athletic equipment. Additionally, he was a lead presenter at the 2019 AFCA National Convention, where he discussed utilizing technology, cloud services and electronic devices to create a paperless equipment room.
Lowe graduated from Wayne State in 2014 with his bachelor’s degree in sport management.
