Conor Dubin is in his first season with Utah State’s football program as a defensive graduate assistant. In his role, Dubin will assist the defensive coaches with daily football operations, primarily working with the defensive backs.

Dubin comes to Utah State after spending the past three seasons at Arizona State. During his first two seasons with the Sun Devils, he was a defensive student-assistant before being elevated to defensive quality control coach in 2017.

In 2017, ASU linebacker Sam Christian led the Pac-12 with 127 tackles, averaging 10.6 stops per game, while teammate and fellow linebacker DJ Calhoun ranked ninth in the league with 99 tackles.

During the 2016 campaign, linebacker Antonio Longino tied for first in the nation with 1.7 tackles for loss per game, while Koron Crump, another linebacker for the Sun Devils, ranked fifth in the Pac-12 with 0.75 sacks per game.

In Dubin’s first season at Arizona State, linebacker Fiso Salamo ranked first in the Pac-12 in tackles for loss at 20.0, while Longino was second at 19.5. Cornerback Kareem Orr led the league in interceptions with six, returning one for a touchdown. As a team, the Sun Devils were third in the Pac-12 and 21st in the nation in rushing defense, allowing just 126.2 yards per game.

Prior to his three seasons with the Sun Devils in Tempe, Dubin was the inside linebackers coach/varsity defensive coordinator at Flintridge Preparatory School in La Canada, Calif., as well as serving as an athletics department assistant.

The native of Los Angeles, Calif., played linebacker at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa., from 2010-12, before having to medically retire due to a season-ending injury in 2012. Dubin graduated from Arizona State in December of 2016 with a degree in sociology. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in physical and sport education from Utah State.
