DENTON, Texas (AP) - Emmett White ran for 153 yards and two touchdowns as Utah State beat North Texas 17-12 on Saturday.

White scored on 27- and 16-yard runs in the second half as Utah State (2-4, 1-0 Big West) rallied from a 6-3 halftime deficit.

North Texas (1-5, 0-1) managed only 41 offensive yards in the second half.

Eagles' Jason Ball kicked a career-best 52-yard field goal with 4:28 left in the first quarter, and also connected from 35 yards.

The Aggies ran for 136 yards after halftime, most of which came from White.

Eagles defensive back Don McGee blocked Steve Mullins' punt with 3:17 left in the game, returning the ball for a touchdown. But Utah State relied on White's running to use up the clock.
