Logan, UT - PROVO, Utah -- Andy Madersbacher leads the Aggies in both singles and doubles competition by advancing to second round.

Utah State's Madersbacher advanced to the second round by defeating the University of Utah's Kevin Zenger in three sets. Madersbacher, with teammate Clayton Thomas, advanced in the doubles category by defeating Boise State's Bernston and Biorkman 8-3.

Dan Baird won his preliminary match only to lose in the next round to BYU's Carlos Lozano in straight sets. The rest of the Aggies lost their opening round matches.

The Aggies return to action Friday when Madersbacher faces Boise State's Mark Roberts in the singles bracket. Teammate Thomas will join Madersbacher in doubles play to face BYU's team of Lozano and Gert Vilms.
