BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Bart Hendricks threw for a career-high 381 yards and four touchdowns as Boise State beat Utah State 66-38 on Saturday, assuring the Broncos of a shot at their second straight Big West title and a berth in the Humanitarian Bowl.
The teams combined for 1,236 yards of offense and 104 points.
The Aggies piled up 595 yards. Utah State receiver Aaron Jones shattered the school record for receiving yards in a game with 297. He broke the mark of 243 yards set by Kevin Alexander in 1995. Jones also had two touchdowns.
The Broncos (8-2, 4-0) won their fifth straight game, their 12th straight at home and their ninth in a row in conference play.
Utah State quarterback Jose Fuentes threw for 509 years and two touchdowns, but the Aggies (5-5, 4-1) were unable to contain the Broncos, who amassed 641 yards offense.
Hendricks hit tight end Robby Snelling with touchdown passes of 4 and 5 yards. Snelling also recovered Hendricks' fumble in the end zone for his third touchdown in the game.
Hendricks completed 21 of 29 passes, while Fuentes was 25-of-56.
Broncos receiver Lou Fanucchi caught six passes for 151 yards, and kicker Nick Calaycay was good for three field goals. Brock Forsey rushed for 95 yards and a TD on a 59-yard screen pass.
Boise State's 66 points matched the second most in a game. The record is 74 in 1969 against Whitman.
