LOGAN, Utah - The Utah State soccer team stopped Cal State Fullerton's seven-game win streak Sunday as the Aggies defeated the Titans, 1-0.
"This is definitely one of the bigger wins in Utah State soccer history," Utah State head coach Jennifer Kennedy Croft said. "These two wins put us right back in the conference race."
Sunday's win came after a 3-0 victory over UC Riverside on Friday.
USU's goal came on an Amber Tracy corner kick with 75:37 gone in the game. It was the sophomore's first corner kick of the season, and her only shot all day. The Aggies took just four shots in the game, junior Megan Edge shot twice, while junior Michelle Eversman had one shot.
Senior goalkeeper Tracy Brady posted seven saves and allowed no goals in 90 minutes of play. It was her second shutout in as many games, making Tracy the first goalie in USU history to post consecutive shutouts.
USU takes its final road trip of the 2001 season next weekend, traveling to UC Santa Barbara on Friday in a 9 p.m. game and to Cal Poly Sunday, Oct. 21 in a 2 p.m. game. The Aggies return home on Friday, Oct. 26 to face Pacific at 3 p.m.
