SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Sunday, Utah State soccer dropped its second game of the weekend, 4-0, at Cal Poly (5-7-3, 2-1-1). The Aggies' record now stands at 5-8-1 overall, and 2-4-0 in the Big West Conference with three league games left to play.
Goalkeepers Tracy Brady and Megan Mills combined for 15 saves on Cal Poly's 29 shots this afternoon. Mills, a freshman, played the entire second half for USU. She recorded 10 saves and allowed just one goal. Prior to today's game, Mills had totaled 180 minutes in three games for the Aggies, including a complete game against Wyoming Sept. 23. Brady allowed three goals in the first half, but posted five saves on the day.
The Aggies were able to take just four shots in the match, all in the first half. Kennon Roeber shot twice, while Megan Edge and Claire Schend each recorded one shot.
USU finishes its 2001 season with four home contests starting Friday, when the Aggies face Pacific (9-5-0, 2-3-0) at 3 p.m. They host Cal State Northridge Sunday, Oct. 28 at noon and face Utah Nov. 1 at 3 p.m. The Aggies conclude 2001 Big West action against Idaho Nov. 4 at noon.
