Final Stats

POCATELLO, Idaho - Utah State's women's volleyball team improved to 16-8 on the season with a three-game win over Idaho State tonight by scores of 30-21, 30-25, and 30-17. The Bengals fell to 10-17 on the season with the loss as the Aggies have won five of their last six matches.

"I thought we played very relaxed tonight and had a good team effort," said USU head coach Burt Fuller. "We were able to get some easy points on our serves tonight and I thought that took them out of there offense a little bit."

Individually for Utah State, sophomore middle blocker Erin Cartwright had a team-high 14 kills and five digs, while senior outside hitter Tanya Birch (Laketown, Utah) had 12 kills and hit .370 in the match. Senior outside hitter Lisa Borom (Las Vegas, Nev.) also had a nice match with 10 kills and eight digs to go along with three blocks.

As a team, Utah State hit .313 in the match and held Idaho State to a .177 hitting percentage. USU notched 10 more digs than the Bengals and had a season-high 11 service aces led by Chelsi Neves' (Otto, Wyo.) three.
