Four Aggie Football Players To Participate In Paradise Bowl Game

LOGAN, Utah - Four Utah State football players will compete in the inaugural Paradise Bowl to be played at Dixie State College's Hansen Stadium in St. George, Utah on Jan. 12, 2002. Offensive linemen Jim Walker and Ed Powell and linebackers Nick Onaindia and Tony Newson will compete for the UTCO All-Stars. Players from the Mountain West, Pac-10, Big Sky, Western Athletic and former Big West conference will take part in the game.

Bart Andrus, who just finished his first year as head coach of the Amsterdam Admirals and was offensive coordinator at Southern Utah from 1993-95 will coach the UTCO squad. Sark Arslanian, who has had many coaching stops from Dixie to Colorado State will lead the West All-Stars.

Players on the UTCO roster are made up of players from Air Force, BYU, Colorado State, Idaho, Montana, Southern Utah, UNLV, Utah, Utah State, Weber State and Wyoming. The West All-Stars roster is comprised of players from Arizona, Arizona State, Cal-Davis, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Oregon, Oregon State, Portland State, San Diego State, San Jose State, Simon Fraser, UCLA, USC and Washington State.
