LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Utah State soccer team suffered its second shutout of the year, losing 2-0 to UNLV at Las Vegas, Nev., Sunday. The Aggies are now 3-4-1 on the year.
USU managed only six shots in the game, including two in the second half. Aggie goalie Tracy Brady allowed two goals, but posted 10 saves, upping her season total to 34 on the year. Six of Brady's saves came in the first half.
UNLV scored its two goals within 10 minutes of each other. Anita Pedford scored with 5:50 gone in the second half on a rebound off the right post. Pedford and Annii Magliulo assisted on the second goal, scored by Jessika Vasquez with 61:00 gone in the contest. UNLV goalie Alice Gleason had three saves on the day.
Utah State plays its next two games on the road, opening Big West action Friday, Oct. 5 at Long Beach State and Sunday, Oct. 7 at UC Irvine. The Aggies take on UC Riverside at home on Oct. 12 in a 3 p.m. game.
