MOSCOW, Idaho -
MOSCOW, Idaho - Utah State's men's tennis team lost 7-0 to Idaho Sunday morning. The loss drops the men's record to 2-4 on the season. This is the first shutout of the year the Aggies have suffered.
One bright spot for USU was the win for doubles partners Andreas Madersbacher and Clayton Thomas, both seniors.
"We didn't really play our best," said head coach Christian Wright. "We had a hard time adjusting to Idaho's court. It was slick with a rubberized surface. Idaho definitely had the home court advantage. But, we didn't play the way we should have and Idaho played really well."
According to Wright, Utah State is the first team in nearly three years to play in Idaho's indoor facility.
The Aggies now prepare to compete in the UNLV Invitational which will be held Feb. 14-16.
