SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -
Utah State's men's tennis team was shut out by the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos 7-0 Sunday afternoon. The loss marks the second shutout of the season and drops the Aggies' record to 4-7.
The Gauchos won the three doubles matches and swept the singles matches to earn all seven points. Sophomore Jason Trask posted his second loss in the No. 3 spot and was the only Aggie to take his opponent to three sets before being defeated. Trask has been a stand-out for the Aggies, as he currently owns a team-high 8-3 record this season.
The USU netters face Pacific on Monday. The Big West Conference defending champion Tigers are
5-1 this season.
