Men's Tennis Defeats Weber State 5-2

OGDEN, Utah - For the second time this season, Utah State's men's tennis defeated in-state rival Weber State, this time in Ogden 5-2. With Thursday's win the Aggies improved to 6-11 on the season, while the Wildcats fell to 2-7.

The Aggies won the doubles point by winning two of the three matches as Andreas Madersbacher and Clayton Thomas won at number one doubles and Jordan Butler and Sam Harris won at number three.

Madersbacher also won at number one singles, improving to 8-9 on the spring season. Three of those eight wins have come against the Wildcats this season. Trask also won his third singles match against the Wildcats this season, as he was victorious at number three singles, improving his team-best record to 11-6. Butler won at number four and Harris won his first match of the season, winning at the number six spot.

The Aggies are 2-1 this season against the Wildcats winning at the UNLV Tournament 4-3 on Feb. 15, then losing at home 5-2 on Mar. 7.

The Aggies will be back in action Friday, April 5, as they will host Portland State at 1 p.m.
