Box Score

LARAMIE, Wyo. - Utah State soccer lost to Wyoming Sunday, 1-0, in double overtime, as the Cowgirls' Darci Ferrell scored the only goal of the match in the 107th minute. Utah State is now 4-2-2 on the season, while Wyoming's record moves to 3-4-1.

"It was a hard-fought game, and both sides had chances to win," USU head coach Jen Kennedy Croft said. "We played really well; they just scored a great goal."

Utah State has played three matches to double overtime this season, and tied in each of the two previous extra-period contests (1-1 against both Sacramento State and Portland State). Until this season, the Aggies had only played one match to a double overtime situation, when they lost Idaho on Nov. 4, 2001, 3-2. Additionally, Sunday's contest marked the first time this season a team shut out USU.

Aggies Heather Arnell, Ally Clegg and Brigid Turner each posted a shot on goal Sunday, while goalkeeper Megan Mills had five saves in nearly 108 minutes of work. Mills has allowed eight goals on the season.

Utah State continues its travels, as the Aggies face Boise State Friday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. in Flagstaff, Ariz. They then take on Northern Arizona at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29.
