FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Utah State soccer (5-2-2) defeated Boise State (3-4-1) at Northern Arizona Friday, 2-1. USU is now 4-0 all-time against Boise State, and posted its first comeback win of the season.
Boise State's Abbe Roche scored the Broncos' only goal of the game with just two minutes gone in the match. BSU held the lead until Utah State freshman Chanel Blaquiere scored her first collegiate goal off an assist from Megan (Edge) Tanner. USU junior Amber Tracy scored the winning goal with nearly 15 minutes left in the match, making the score 2-1.
The Aggies took 11 shots in the game, with five on goal. Boise State took six shots in the game, all on goal. USU goalkeeper Megan Mills allowed one goal in 90 minutes of play, and recorded five saves.
Utah State faces Northern Arizona (2-5) Sunday in a 2 p.m. game. The Aggies then travel to Utah for a 4 p.m. game Wednesday, Oct. 2, and host Long Beach State in their Big West Conference opener on Friday, Oct. 4 at 3 p.m.
