FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Utah State soccer defeated Northern Arizona 3-0 here Sunday, earning its second win in the two games played at the NAU Mountain Classic. USU defeated Boise State Friday, 2-1. The Aggies are now 6-2-2 on the season, while Northern Arizona is 3-6-0.

Utah State's Brigid Turner scored two of the Aggies' three goals on the day, while Amber Tracy contributed her fourth goal of the year. Turner's first goal came off Tracy's assist with just 2:20 gone in the game. Tracy scored 11 minutes later, making the score 2-0. The Aggies' final goal of the day was Turner's eighth of the season, and came from a rebound off a header off a corner kick with a little more than 25 minutes left in the first half. Heather Arnell and Shaylee Hogge both assisted on Turner's second goal.

Goalkeepers Megan Mills and Amy Johnson each worked 45 minutes in the contest for the Aggies, and shared the shutout win. Mills posted two saves on two shots, while Johnson recorded four saves on six shots. The match marked USU's third shutout victory of the season.

Shots on goal were fairly even in the match, as USU took seven, converting on three, and NAU took six. For the eighth time this season, USU managed more corner kicks than its opponent, as USU was awarded six to NAU's three.

Utah State wraps up its five-game road trip at No. 23 Utah (5-1-2) Wednesday at 4 p.m. Friday, the Aggies open Big West Conference action in Logan at 3 p.m. against Long Beach State (2-5-2), and host UC Irvine (3-5) Sunday, Oct. 6 at noon. USU's home matches are played at Chuck and Gloria Bell Soccer Field, located on 1400 North at approximately 1100 East.
