USU Men's Tennis Hosts Montana State, Travels To Utah

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's men's tennis (0-1) hosts its second straight home match versus Montana State at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club Jan. 23, at 4 p.m. The Aggies then travel to play at Utah on Jan. 24, at 5 p.m. Both Montana State and Utah will be opening their dual match seasons against the Aggies.

Utah State is 3-5 against Montana State in the last 10 years. Last year the Aggies fell to the Bobcats 5-2. Jason Trask is the lone returning Aggie to record a win against Montana State last year, as he defeated Eddie Yang, 6-1, 6-0.

On Friday the Aggies head to Salt Lake City to take on Utah. The Aggies are looking for their first victory against Utah in 10 years. Last year the Aggies fell to the Utes, 6-1. Jason Trask again had a strong showing as he recorded the lone victory for the Aggies. He defeated Jonathan Engelbrect in straight sets, 7-5, 7-5.

Other Aggies to watch include junior Ryan Bair. Bair has the lone Aggie win this season as he defeated Patrick Jackson of Air Force, 4-6, 6-3, 10-6.
