Irvine, Calif. - Utah State (9-5-1, 3-1-1) soccer posted the fifth-ever double overtime tie in its history Friday as the Aggies and UC Irvine ended 110 minutes of soccer with a score of 0-0. Sunday's match was the first of the five to end tied at zero.

"It was an even match today," said head coach Heather Cairns. "Irvine came out and took it to us in the first half, we then came out strong in the second half and put them back on their heels. In overtime we both had some good chances."

Junior goalkeeper Megan Mills tallied her eighth shutout of the season. Mills had six saves on the afternoon. Anteater goalkeeper Marissa Weaver picked up the shutout for UC Irvine and had two saves on the day. Both teams had excellent scoring chances in the second half, but were unable to capitalize on them.

The Aggies will host CS Fullerton on Friday, Oct. 24th as they begin their final homestand of the season. The match begins at 3 p.m.
