LOGAN, Utah - Utah State (10-5-1, 4-1-1) soccer continued its record year by posting its 10th win of the season Friday. The Aggies shutout Cal State Fullerton (8-6-2, 2-3-1) 2-0 at Bell Field where they are 4-0 this season against Big West opponents.

"All three lines played fantastic today," said head coach Heather Cairns. "Everyone was clicking and it was nice to see it all come together."

Aggie soccer has notched four Big West wins just two other times as they went 4-5 in both the 98 and 99 seasons. With four wins coming in their first six games, this year's Aggie squad has reached four Big West wins faster than both the 98 and 99 squads.

USU's first score was set up on a corner kick by Ally Clegg. Clegg lobbed it into Tracy, whose first shot hit the left post and rebounded right back to her for the put back. The goal was Tracy's fourth-game winner of the season and gives her the distinction of being the USU career leader in that category. USU out shot the Titans in the first half 7-4.

The second Aggie goal came during the 77th minute of play as Tracy crossed the ball from the left side to Chanel Blaquiere, who headed the ball in from eight yards out. The goal was Blaquiere's second on the year. Tracy's assist gives her a total of 11 career assists and puts her one assist ahead of teammate Ally Clegg on the USU all-time assist list.

USU's defense also played well as they were able to shut down Candace Wilson, Fullerton's leading scorer. Wilson had a few chances as she placed two shots on goal, but USU's Shaylee Wilson and the rest of the Aggie back line were able to keep her off the board.

"The mid-field and back line did a tremendous job today," said Cairns. "They were able to work together to limit Fullerton's scoring opportunities."

The defense also helped Megan Mills pick up her USU career-leading 11th shutout. Mills has recorded nine shutouts this season which is also the single-season record.

The Aggies will host UC Riverside on Sunday, Oct. 26th as they play in their final home match of the season. The match begins at noon.
