LOGAN, Utah - Senior Jordan Butler recorded a win at No. 4 singles and a doubles win as Utah State's men's tennis narrowly fell to Nevada, 4-3, Saturday. The Aggies fell to 4-10 on the season, while the Wolf Pack improved to 2-10.
In singles play, Jason Trask improved his spring single's record to 5-8 when he defeated Nevada's Rudolf Leuschner, 1-6, 6-4, 6-0. The Aggies' Jordan Butler and Andrew Marsh were also victorious. J. Butler defeated Daniel Ericsson in straight sets at the No. 4 position, 6-4, 6-3. Marsh followed with a win over the Wolf Pack's McClure Wallace in straight sets as well, 7-5, 6-4.
In doubles action, the Wolfpack took the overall team point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles positions. Jonah Nelson and J. Butler recorded the lone doubles win for the Aggies defeating the duo of Jooste/Ericsson, 8-6.
The Aggies' will next face Montana at home March 26, at 1 p.m. at the Sports Academy.
