LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men's tennis (2-7) plays host to Weber State (2-3) on Wednesday, March 5, at 1:30 p.m. at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club. Wednesday's match will mark the second time the two teams have met as they played earlier this season at the UNLV Invitational where the Aggies narrowly fell to the Wildcats, 3-4.
USU has the advantage over the last four years, going 7-2 in their last nine meetings. Last year Utah State was 2-1 against Weber. In their first match-up last year Utah State defeated Weber at the UNLV Invitational, 4-3. The Aggies then dropped their home match, 5-2. With the series tied at 1-1 the Aggies traveled to Ogden, Utah where they defeated Weber, 5-2.
In three meetings with the Wildcats last year, USU returns Jordan Butler, Jonah Nelson and Jason Trask. The three were 6-1 in singles and 3-3 in doubles in those meetings.
The Aggies' next match is against St. Mary's at a neutral site in Stockton, Calif., Saturday at 4 p.m.
