NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - Kelly Leos extended her hitting streak to four games, but Utah State softball (6-25, 1-5) was shut out 5-0 at Cal State Northridge (18-18, 4-5) Sunday in the third game of the weekend series. Leos was 1-2 on the day with a walk.
In the first, the Aggies loaded the bases with one out, but were unable to drive in the scoring run. The Matadors scored their fifth run in the third off a balk.
Haven Vance also had a hit in the game, building a three-game hit streak against CSN over the weekend. Carli Baumgartner replaced Leslie Higley on the mound in the second inning. She pitched five innings, allowed four hits and one run.
This week, the Aggies travel to Pacific for a three-game series Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19.
