LOGAN, Utah - Due to prolonged periods of rain and poor weather conditions Utah State's men's tennis match against UC Riverside in the consolation bracket of the Big West Championships was cancelled Friday. The cancellation brings the Aggies' season to a close with a 7-13 spring season record.
The Aggies were scheduled to face the Highlanders in the consolation bracket of the tournament after both teams lost their respective opening round matches Thursday.
This season, the Aggies were led in singles play by freshman Andrew Marsh who finished the season with an overall record of 14-15. In doubles play, Jason Trask and Brandon Butler led the team with a 9-8 record.
USU looks to be just as strong next year as they return seven of the eight players on their roster.
