Final Stats

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State soccer lost to Utah Tuesday, 1-0 in overtime, as the Utes' Amanda Feigt scored the only goal of the match in the 94th minute. Utah State is now 4-3 on the season, while Utah's record improves to 5-1.

Today's match marked the first time this season the Aggies have gone into overtime. At this point last season USU had gone into double overtime twice, both ended in ties. Tuesday's match also marks the first time this season the Aggies have been out shot. Utah recorded 15 shots to the Aggies' five.

"Our defense really kept us in the game today," said head coach Heather Cairns. "We had a few good opportunities on the attack but we were unable to capitalize on any of them."

Aggies Charlsie Harris, Charity Weston and Kami Kelley each posted a shot on goal Tuesday, while goalkeeper Megan Mills had five saves in nearly 95 minutes of work. Mills has allowed just five goals on the season.

The Aggies next head to Portland State to start their second road-trip of the season. USU faces the Vikings Tuesday Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. The Aggies then head to Boise, Idaho for games against Northern Colorado and Northern Arizona. USU faces Northern Colorado on Sept. 26 at 2:30 p.m. and Northern Arizona on Sept. 28 at 11:30 a.m.
