LOGAN, Utah - Utah State (2-2) soccer dropped its home opener to Idaho State 1-0 Sunday. Utah State is now 0-2 against Idaho State in the last two years

"We had a lot of opportunities," said head coach Heather Cairns. "We just had a hard time with execution when it came to attacking the goal."

The Aggies took 13 shots in the match, four of which were on goal. The Bengals shot eight times, they also had four shots on goal.

ISU scored the game's only goal on a one-on-one breakaway by Stacey Allen during the 62nd minute of the game. Idaho State's goalkeeper Shannon Boyle got the shut out with four saves while the Aggies' Megan Mills allowed one goal with three saves.

The Aggies next face Nevada on Thursday Sept. 11 at 5 p.m.
