PROVO, Utah - The Utah State men's tennis team was beaten by BYU Saturday afternoon, 0-7.

"We had some good matches," said Utah State head tennis coach Christian Wright. "We competed hard, but when we had a disappointing point we didn't bounce back."

Joao Pinho at No. 1 singles and Hannes Schenk at No. 2 both lost close sets, each taking one set into overtime before eventually losing.

"We're still learning and making adjustments," said Wright. "We need to make some mental adjustments before we play Utah on Monday."

Utah State's next match is at the University of Utah on Monday at 5 p.m.

"Utah is a solid team," said Wright. "If we play our best, we have a chance to win."
