PORTLAND, Ore. - Utah State's men's tennis team fell 0-7 Friday afternoon to No. 71 Portland. The Aggies are now 4-9 this season.
In doubles action, Aggies Brad Ferguson and Hannes Schenk won the No. 3 spot 8-2, beating Colby Jager and Joshua Roach.
In singles play Brad Ferguson was the only player to take his match to three sets before losing the No. 4 spot to Alex Strom 6-4, 3-6, 6-4. Dantley Young fought hard at the No. 6 spot, but lost 6-7, 6-7 to Scott Kennel.
Utah State will play again on Saturday at 12 p.m. in Portland, where it will take on Nevada. In their last meeting, on Feb. 19, the Aggies won in a close match beating Nevada 4-3.
