Men's Tennis Beats Rival Idaho State 4-3

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State University's men's tennis team beat the Idaho State Bengals here on Tuesday, 4-3. With the win, the Aggies continue their longest winning streak of the season, three matches, and improve to 8-11.

Utah State went down 1-0 early in the match as they dropped the No. 1 and 2 doubles matches. The Aggies re-grouped and came out strong in singles play. Joao Pinho took the No. 1 match 6-1, 6-2. Hannes Schenk came out strong at No. 2 and took the first set 6-4, lost the second set 1-6, and kept the third set close, but lost 4-6.

Roshan Rasekhi, Brad Ferguson and Dantley Young all won their matches at No. 4, 5 and 6 in two sets. Ferguson continues to lead the team this spring with 13 wins.

The Aggies head to Ogden Wednesday were they will take on the Weber State Wildcats at 2 p.m. In their last meeting on February 1, Utah State beat Weber at home, 6-1.
