Utah State's men's tennis team fell short of a win losing at Idaho State 4-3 on Wednesday. The Aggies are now 0-2 this season.
In doubles action Utah State's Johannes Zelle and Dantley Young took the No. 1 spot defeating Marc Pijoan and Masimba Ruwo 8-5. Zelle and Young were the only two Aggies to win in doubles.
In singles play three Aggies had success against the Bengals. At the No. 2 spot senior, Joao Pinho, defeated Pablo Garces 6-4, 6-3. At the No. 5 spot Bryan Marchant defeated Ryo Sakamoto 6-3. 6-7 (8-6), 10-6. Aggie sophomore, Jonas Tyden won at the No. 6 spot defeating Brian Richman 6-3, 6-3.
The Aggies will play again on January 20 against Northern Arizona in Logan. The match will take place at 2 p.m.
