LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men's tennis split the singles matches, but lost the doubles point to Weber State resulting in a 4-3 loss Thursday.

The Aggies won three singles points with Hannes Schnek winning over Weber State's Travis Covington, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 at the number two position. Winning the number five point for the Aggies was Jonas Tyden, 6-1, 6-4 while Mike Banks won his number six point in three sets, 6-0, 5-7, 10-8. Mike Banks and Fernando Gallegos also won their doubles match 8-2.

"We served a low percentage on first serves and that really hurt us," head coach Christian Wright said, "We have had a long rivalry with Weber State and it is always a very hard fought match."

The Aggies are 1-2 on the season. The men play Friday Feb. 23, at Idaho State at 1:30 pm.
