LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's basketball coach assistant coach Erin Scholz will be inducted into the Colorado Springs Hall of Fame on Monday, Oct. 28.

The former Colorado Springs Doherty High School basketball All-American and two-time state Player of the Year was one of the University of Colorado's greatest women's basketball stars during a career in Boulder marked by her durability and toughness. She ranks second on CU's all time rebounding list (1,067), played in 132 games, starting in 127 of them, and is one of only three Buffs to record 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in a career. She was named to the 1997 all-Big 12 Conference second team and earned honorable mention All-American laurels after leading CU to the league's inaugural tourney championship. In that same senior season, she led the Buffs in scoring and was second in rebounding. Her production won her Honorable Mention status on both the Kodak and Associated Press All-America teams.

She was a member of three Buff tournament championship teams and appeared in the NCAA Tournament all four years at Colorado. After graduation from CU in 1999, she played two seasons for the NWBL's Colorado Chill.

She is in her third year as an assistant coach at Utah State. She was a Colorado teammate with Utah State head coach Raegan Pebley.

Her Colorado Springs Doherty Nigh team played for the State 6A title in two consecutive seasons, winning the title in 1992. The heavily-recruited star was a second-team Parade All-American, the Colorado High School Sportswoman of the Year, and she played in the prestigious Kodak Girls High School All-America Game in Jackson, Tenn.

The ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. at the World Arena in Colorado Springs.
