-- Utah State lost to Louisiana Tech for the fourth-straight time and now trail the all-time series, 4-2.

-- USU is now 4-9 against schools from the state of Louisiana, including 2-6 on Louisiana soil.

-- Saturday's USU game captains were #77 senior OT Derek Hoke for the offense, #53 senior LB Jake Hutton for the defense and #26 senior CB Marquise Charles for the defense.

-- Junior LB Paul Igboeli made his team-leading 31st-straight start Saturday and his 31st of his career... Senior LB Jake Hutton made his 37th career start, which is the most on the team.

-- The USU defense held the opposition without a first down on its opening possession for the fifth time this season and just the third true three-and-out, joining the San Jose State and UNLV games, while forcing and recovering a fumble in the Nevada game and snared an interception in the Oregon game.

-- Redshirt-freshman RB Robert Turbin now has seven rushing TD's and he now has nine overall on the season... USU now has 11 rushing TD's on the season.

-- Turbin becomes the first USU RB to have three rushing TD's in one game since Emmett White had three on Nov. 17, 2001 against Weber State... The last three-rushing TD outing against a Division I team is also by White, against Arkansas State on Oct. 28, 2000.

-- After not having a lead at the end of the first quarter in its previous eight games, Utah State led at the end of the first quarter for the second time in the last three games after a 3-0 lead in the Hawai'i game.

-- The 10 points in the first quarter were USU's most in the opening stanza this quarter and the most since 10 in the Hawai'i game last season, a span of 18 games.

-- The two non-offensive TD's by the opposition was the first time since Sept. 30, 2006 against Idaho when the Vandals had a 98-yard INT and a 74-yard fumble return for TD.

-- Turbin's 47-yard scamper for a TD in the second quarter was the second-longest of his career behind a 49-yarder in the Idaho game on Sept. 20.

-- Turbin is the first USU RB with two rushing TD's this season and the first since Leon Jackson III had two rushing TD's in the Idaho game on Nov. 24, 2007.

-- Sophomore CB Chris Randle had the first interception of both the season and his career.

-- USU now has seven different players with an INT, compared to nine last season... The Aggie defense now has 10 oskies this season compared to 15 interceptions last year.

-- The 17 points in the first half was USU's most this season in the opening half and the most since 17 in the season-finale at Idaho last year... Meanwhile, the 28 points scored by Louisiana Tech marked the fourth time this season that the opposition had scored 28 or more points in the first half and the sixth time scoring more than 21 points.

-- Saturday was the third time this season that USU scored 30 or more points compared to only twice last season.

-- USU allowed 30 or more points for the eighth time this season.

-- The 21 unanswered points by USU was the first time since Oct. 2, 2004 that the Aggies had such a streak.

-- The 38 points scored by USU were the most on the road in head coach Brent Guy's tenure.
