EL PASO, Texas - For the first time this season, the Utah State women's basketball team will take to the road to play at the second-annual UTEP Thanksgiving Classic in El Paso, Texas Nov. 28-29. In their first game, the Aggies will take on Texas State Friday, Nov. 28 at 4:35 p.m. MT. Host UTEP will face Monmouth in the second game at 7:05 p.m.

Texas State is 2-2 heading into the game with USU. This is the first meeting between the Bobcats and the Aggies. Texas State has three players who average in double digits, Kim Cessna (10.0 ppg), Ashley Cole (12.3 ppg) and Victoria Davis (11.5 ppg). Texas State has wins over Navy and Long Island to capture the Columbia Classic in New York. The Bobcats dropped their first two games on the road against Drake and Iowa to start the season.

For the first time since, Nov. 27, 2006, Utah State holds a .500 record. After a hard-fought 42-39 win over Montana State-Northern on Nov. 22, the Aggies are 2-2. After four-straight home games this is USU's first road game.

USU continues to be led by senior guards Ana Pares and Danyelle Snelgro. Pares averages 11.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Snelgro averages 11.8 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. The Aggie defense has been tough this season only allowing 54.2 ppg which is first in the Western Athletic Conference.
