LOGAN, Utah - Utah State will play its first exhibition game against Montana Tech on Monday, Nov. 3 at the Dee Glenn Smith Spectrum. Montana Tech defeated Medicine Hat 65-48 to start its season.
The Orediggers took on Dickinson State (Oct. 31) and Northwest University (Nov. 1) in Helena, Mt. before taking on the Aggies. Montana Tech defeated Dickinson State 82-72 before falling to Northwest State 64-60.
The Aggies ended last season 9-20 overall and 5-11 in the Western Athletic Conference. USU returns two starters in senior center Ndoumbe Diop and senior guard Danyelle Snelgro.
The Aggies were picked to finish sixth in the WAC Coaches' poll and seventh in the media poll. The sixth-place prognostication is the highest for USU since joining the WAC prior to the 2005-06 season.
Danyelle Snelgro was picked on the preaseason all-WAC second team by the WAC coaches. This is the second-straight year that the Aggies have had a player on the second team after Taylor Richards earned the honor last season.
