Aggie Women's Basketball Game Against BYU To Be Televised

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's basketball will have its first televised game of the season when the Aggies travel to Provo to take on Brigham Young on Dec. 13 at 3 p.m. at the Marriott Center.

The game will air world-wide on BYUTV with Jarom Jordan and Kristin Kozlowski calling the action.

The Cougars moved to 6-2 this season with a win over instate rival, Weber State, on Wednesday, Dec. 10. BYU stopped the Wildcats, 76-69, behind a team-leading 16 points from Shawnee Slade. The senior forward leads the Cougars in scoring, averaging 13.0 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.

Utah State is off to its best start since the 1980-81 season with a 4-3 record. The Aggies are one of only two teams in the Western Athletic Conference above .500 along with Fresno State. USU is first in the league in scoring defense, averaging only 53.9 points per game. Utah State is led by a duo of senior guards in Danyelle Snelgro and Ana Pares. Snelgro is averaging 13.0 ppg, while Pares brings in 12.0 ppg.
