Pocatello, idaho - Utah State men's tennis beats Idaho State, 4-3, Tuesday. The Aggies improved to 3-8 on the season, while Idaho State falls to 1-7 overall.
In doubles action, the Aggies took the point winning at all three doubles spots. Junior Matt Braithwaite and sophomore Matt Searle shut out Idaho State's Jeremy Atkin and David Kutchins, 8-0 at No. 3.
In singles, the Aggies won at No. 2, 4 and 6. sophomore Oscar Ericsson defeated the Bengals' Javier Royo, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) at No. 2. USU senior Jonas Tyden defeated Alex Buceta at No. 4 singles, 7-6 (7-5). 6-3, while Braithwaite beat ISU's Kutchins, 6-2, 6-4, in the No. 6 spot.
The Aggies continue action in Las Vegas, Nev. on Friday, Feb. 29 taking on Weber State at 1 p.m. and UNLV on Saturday, March 1 at 10:30 a.m.
