LOGAN, Utah -

-- Utah State finishes its home ledger with a 3-2 mark, its first winning season at home since 2003 when the Aggies also went 3-2.

-- Junior QB Diondre Borel made his 20th-straight start Friday, the top streak for USU.

-- After returning to limited action last Saturday after missing the previous three games with an injury, senior LB Paul Igboeli made his first start since the Nevada game (Oct. 17)... It was Igboeli's team-leading 39th career start.

-- Senior S James Brindley also returned to the Aggies' starting line-up, after seeing limited action with an injury, making his 30th career start, as did junior OT Spencer Johnson, tying for second on the team.

-- After a three-game streak of scoring on its opening possession, USU failed to score on its first possession of the game for the fourth time overall this season.

-- Junior RB Michael Smith's first quarter TD was his third rushing TD, all of 20+ yards (40 and 20-yard TD runs inn Southern Utah game - Sept. 26)... His third quarter TD was his fourth of the season, with all four coming in two games (two in Southern Utah game, two on Friday).

-- With his 24-yard TD run in the second quarter, sophomore RB Robert Turbin broke the USU single-season rushing record for a sophomore, moving him to 1,159, passing the previous record of 1,135 yards by Rick Parros in 1977.

-- Turbin also jumps to No. 9 on USU's single-season rushing list, passing Parros at No. 11, Roy Shivers (1,138 in 1965) at No. 10, Archie Gibson (1,150 in 1973) for the No. 9 spot... Turbin now has 1,183 rushing yards, needing 53 yards for the No. 8 spot to tie Parros' 1,236 yards in his senior season of 1979.

-- It was Turbin's 10th rushing TD this season, needing one more for the single-season top 10.

-- Turbin scored his 18th career rushing TD, moving to a tie for No. 7 on USU's career rushing TD list with Roy Shivers (1964-65).

-- Utah State trailed at halftime for the fifth time this season and USU is now 0-5 when trailing at intermission.

-- Junior P Peter Caldwell, a Ray Guy Award Semi-finalist, boomed a career-long 62-yard punt in the fourth quarter... It was Caldwell's second 60+ yard punt this season, topping a 61-yarder in the Nevada game... Overall, it was Caldwell's fourth career punt of 60 or more yards, with a pair of 60 yarders last season.

-- Junior QB Diondre Borel's 201 passing yards gives him 2,516 passing yards this season, moving to No. 11 on USU's single-season passing list, needing 93 yards to reach the top 10 with the No. 10 spot currently held by Jose Fuentes with 2,709 in 2000.

-- Borel now has 2,972 yards of total offense this season, vaulting to the No. 4 spot, needing 182 yards for the No. 3 spot by Brent Snyder with 3,154 in 1998, 192 for the No. 2 spot by Jose Fuentes with 3,164 in 2002 and 288 yards for the school record of 3,260 yards by Anthony Calvillo in 1993.

-- Borel's 201 passing yards give him 4,221 career passing yards, moving to a tie for No. 8 on USU's career passing yards list with Leon Jackson III (2004-07), needing 501 for the No. 7 spot held by Travis Cox (2001-04) with 4,722.

-- Friday was the third ranked opponent for Utah State this season, marking the third-straight season that the Aggies have played at least three ranked teams in the same season... Overall, it is the fifth time since 1957 that the Aggies have faced three ranked teams in the same slate.

-- All three of USU's ranked opponents have also been in non-Saturday games, and Friday was USU's 16th-straight loss in a non-Saturday game since 1993.

-- USU is now:
-- 4-12 all-time vs. Boise State, now on a nine-game skein, including four-straight when BSU is ranked.
-- 2-6 vs. Boise State at Logan, losing the last four in a row.
-- 6-2 on Nov. 20, as Friday's loss snaps a three-game winning streak on the date.
-- 1-51 against Top 25, including 1-11 at home.
-- 0-2 vs. No. 6 ranked opponents, Boise State Friday night and on Sept. 29, 2001, 38-21, to No. 6 Oregon.
-- 5-7 in its last 12 home finales, dropping four of its last five.
