USU vs. Saint Mary's - 12/5/09

TEAM NOTES
* Utah State had its 37 game home winning streak snapped tonight, which was a school record and the second-longest current home winning streak in the nation. Overall, USU has now won 52 of its last 54 home games dating back to the 2005-06 season.
* Utah State had won 41 straight games against non-conference opponents including 65 straight against non-conference opponents during the regular season.
* Utah State is now 162-13 at home under head coach Stew Morrill, which includes a 78-5 record against non-conference opponents.
* Utah State had won 52 straight home games during the month of December.
* Utah State has now out-rebounded all seven of its opponents this year.
* Utah State shot a season-low from the field (.397), from three-point range (.250) and from the free throw line (.667). USU also made a season-low three three-pointers and its 12 three-point attempts tied its season-low.
* Utah State committed double-digit turnovers (10) for the first time in four games.
* Tonight's announced crowd of 10,270 was USU's second sellout of the season and 28th under Coach Morrill.
* Utah State is now 0-3 this season in games decided by five or fewer points.
* The nine three-pointers made by Saint Mary's is a season-high for a USU opponent, while its seven made free throws is a season-low. The Gaels also shot 40.9 percent from behind the arc, which is also a season-high for a USU opponent.

PLAYER NOTES
* Jared Quayle scored in double-figures for the fourth time this year and 29th time in his career. He also played a season-high 37 minutes and had a season-high two steals.
* Nate Bendall scored in double-figures for the fifth time this year. He also tied his career-high with two steals.
* Tai Wesley scored in double-figures for the sixth time this year and 50th time in his career. He also tied his season-high with two steals.
* Pooh Williams scored in double-figures for the second time this year and 10th time in his career. He also played a season-high 33 minutes.
* Matt Formisano tied his season-high with four rebounds and tied his career-high with two assists.
