UTAH STATE POST-GAME NOTES VS. LOUISIANA TECH
TEAM NOTES
* Utah State is now 23-1 on the season and tied with Oklahoma (23-1) for the most wins and best record in the nation. USU has also won 18 straight games, which is the longest winning streak by any team this season, and the second-longest winning streak in school history, behind the 1999-2000 team that won 19 straight games.
* Utah State is now the only team in the nation to win at least 23 games in each of the last 10 seasons. Gonzaga and Kansas have each won 23-plus games in each of the last nine years.
* Utah State's 23 wins this year are tied for the ninth-most in school history, while its 11 conference wins are tied for the 12th most. USU has now won at least 10 conference games in 14 of its last 16 seasons.
* Utah State extended its best start in school history tonight with its 23-1 record.
* Utah State has now won 31-straight home games, which is the second-longest active home winning streak in the nation behind Kansas (37). It is also tied for the longest home winning streak in school history as USU also won 31 straight home games from the 1999-2000 to the 2001-02 seasons.
* Utah State is now 156-12 in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum under Coach Morrill, which includes an 82-8 conference record and a 27-3 WAC mark.
* Utah State has now won 15 straight WAC games dating back to last year and 14 straight WAC games at home. The 15-game WAC winning streak by USU is the longest since Nevada won 15 straight from the 2005-06 to 2006-07 seasons.
* Utah State's 11-0 start to league play this year is its third-best in school history. It is also the best start by a WAC team since Utah went 14-0 in 1998-99 season
* Utah State is now 17-0 on the season and 199-21 over the last 10 years when leading at the half.
* Utah State improved to 12-0 this year and has now won 56 straight games when allowing less than 60 points.
* Utah State is now one of just seven teams in the nation without a conference loss along with Oklahoma (9-0), Xavier (9-0), Memphis (8-0), Gonzaga (8-0), Kansas (8-0), and Princeton (4-0).
* Utah State has now shot under 50 percent from the field nine times this year. USU did, however, shot over 40 percent from three-point range for the 10th time this year.
* Utah State was out-rebounded for just the sixth time this year, but is 6-0 in those games.
* Utah State had more turnovers (15) than assists (14) for just the fourth time this year.
PLAYER NOTES
* Tai Wesley now has 56 career blocks with his one tonight and is tied with Kendall Youngblood for eighth-place all-time at USU.
* Jared Quayle tied his season-high with eight assists tonight.
* Gary Wilkinson scored in double-figures for the 21st time this year and 49th time in his career. He also had two dunks tonight to give him 14 on the season.
* Brady Jardine recorded his first dunk of the season tonight.
* Tyler Newbold scored in double-figures for the 12th time this year and 18th time in his career.
