SALT LAKE CITY -

-- Senior LB Paul Igboeli made his 33rd consecutive start as well as his 33rd career start, both of which lead the team... Second for total starts is senior S James Brindley, who made his 22nd career start, while junior OL Spencer Johnson is third, making his 20th career start Thursday.

-- Five Aggies made their first career starts: junior RB Michael Smith, junior DT's Sean Enesi and Daniel Gurrola, junior DE Devin Johnson and sophomore LB Quinn Garner... All are junior transfers except Garner, who played in all 12 games last season.

-- The 48-yard pass play from Diondre Borel to Stanley Morrison on USU's opening drive is a new career-long reception for Morrison, topping his previous long of 46 last season against Idaho (Sept. 20).

-- USU scored on its opening scoring drive for the second game in a row, dating back to last year's final game.

-- Utah State scored first vs. UU for third year in a row... USU is 5-5 when scoring first over the last three seasons.

-- Sophomore RB Robert Turbin's 96-yard TD rush in the first quarter is a USU school-record for longest rushing play, topping the 95-yard rush by Percy Hanson in 1920 vs. Colorado Mines... It ties the longest offensive play in school history, matching a Craig Bradshaw to Fred Fernandes 96-yard pass play vs. Arizona State in 1979.

-- Turbin broke the longest individual school record and Hanson held the second-oldest school record... The oldest school record is the team winning margin (136-0 over Idaho State in 1919).

-- Turbin's run is the first TD run of over 80 yards by an Aggie since Marvin Jackson's 88-yard scoring scamper vs. Fresno State in 1980, breaking the longest record on USU's "Last Time" list.

-- Senior S James Brindley snagged his seventh career interception, returning it to the same corner of the field as his 64-yard INT return in 2007, which ended at the UU 1... Brindley needs three more oskies to crack into USU's career INT list... Brindley's 20-yard return gives him 206 for his career, expanding on his hold of the No. 2 spot on USU's career INT return list and leaving him 167 yards from No. 1 Henry King's 373 yards (1965-66).

-- Borel scored his sixth career rushing TD with the 1-yard scamper in the second quarter.

-- USU had two one-play scoring drives Thursday (Turbin's 96-yard rush and Borel's 1-yard rush)... The Aggies had three one-play scoring drives all of last season.

-- Turbin's 148 rushing yards is a new career-high, topping his 123 yards vs. Idaho last year (Sept. 20), and is his second career 100-yard rushing outing.

-- Turbin's 148 rushing yards are the most for a USU individual since James Samual's 159 yards rushing vs. Troy State in 2002.

-- Brindley's 14 tackles are his second-most ever in game (15 vs. Idaho - 11/24/07).

-- Sophomore DE Bobby Wagner recorded a career-high 12 tackles. His previous career-high was 10 vs. Louisiana Tech in 2008.

-- USU now trails the overall series, 77-28-4, having suffered its 12th-straight loss in the series... The nation's 12th-longest series takes a two-year hiatus, resuming in 2012.
