TIP OFF - Utah State women's basketball (8-10, 2-3 WAC) returns home after a two-game road trip to host Hawai'i (6-13, 0-6 WAC) on Thursday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. Hawai'i will head to Logan, as the last stop of a five-game road trip.

THE OPPONENT - The Rainbow Wahine (6-13, 0-6 WAC) lead the all time series record 6-8 including 2-8 in WAC action. After going 6-7 in preseason action, UH has yet to claim a win in WAC competition so far this season. The Rainbow Wahine have two players averaging double figures, including Jamilah Jackson at 13.0 ppg and Keisha Kanekoa adding 11.2 ppg. Jackson is also leading the WAC in rebounding averaging 13.1 rpg.

LAST TIME OUT - Utah State women's basketball had three players in double figures and tied the score 15 times with New Mexico State in a tough, 75-71 loss in Las Cruces, N.M. Saturday, Jan. 22. USU's three players in double-digits included 19 points from junior Ashlee Brown, while senior Alice Coddington added 11 points and off the bench for USU, sophomore Devyn Christensen added 13. USU also won the battle of the bench, tabbing 26 points while New Mexico State's bench only supported with 14.

GOOD TO BE BACK HOME - USU is 2-1 in WAC action in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum and 5-5 overall on the season. The Aggies are 232-of-599 (38.7 percent) at home and 67.9 percent (148-of-218) from the free-throw line. Utah State has 108 steals in the Spectrum compared to opponent's 87.

PERFECT UNDER 59 - The Aggies are 4-0 when holding the opponent to 59 points or less.

THREE-POINTERS TO WIN - USU is 8-0 when shooting better than its opponents from behind the arc. On the season, the Aggies are 70-of-241 (.290) from three-point range, which is seventh in the WAC.

80 POINT GAMES - Utah State had two back-to-back 80 point games and was 2-0 in those games, defeating Utah Valley, 80-66 (Dec. 1) and Northern Arizona, 80-75, (Dec. 4) in overtime. The Aggies are 3-0 in games when they score at least 80 points as they also defeated Nevada, 81-69 (Jan. 15).

RECORD-SETTING DAY - The Aggies set a school record shooting 60.8 percent from the field against Utah Valley on Dec. 1 in USU's 80-66 win over the Wolverines. The previous record was 58.3 percent against New Mexico State in 1982.

ROAD WARRIORS - USU is 3-5 on the road so far this season. During the 2009-10 season the Aggies went 5-7 on the road overall. The Aggies are only two road wins away from matching their road victory total from last year. USU has won its last three road games. The next road game for USU will be at Nevada, Feb. 03.

BLOCK PARTY - The Aggies set a new school record with 14 blocks in a 69-57 win against Boise State (Jan. 6). The Aggies' 14 blocks topped their school record of 11 set twice last year vs. North Dakota State and San Jose State.

BROWN DOUBLE-TROUBLE - Junior Ashlee Brown has nabbed seven double-doubles this season including seven 20+ point games including a career-high 26 points at Northern Arizona (Dec. 4). Brown is one double-double away from breaking former Aggie Ali (Aird) Marchant's single-season record of seven double-doubles during the 2003-2004 campaign, which was the first year of action after the program was reinstated at Utah State.

NEXT UP - Following Hawaii, USU will host San Jose State on Saturday, Jan. 29 at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum at 7 p.m.

AROUND THE COURT AGGIES IN THE WAC - Senior guard Alice Coddington is first in assists (4.44 apg) and second in the WAC in steals (2.72 spg), while junior forward Ashlee Brown is fifth in the league in rebounding, averaging 8.7 rpg. As a team, Utah State is second in steals averaging 10.83 per game.

BATTLE OF THE BOARDS - Six times this year, Utah State has out-rebounded its opponent and is 4-2 when winning the battle of the boards, taking the rebound advantage against Utah Valley, 27-24, while holding a 46-41 edge against Northern Arizona and against San Francisco the Aggies nabbed 41 to the Dons' 31 boards. The Aggies also out-rebounded South Dakota State 42-37. In a loss to Idaho State, USU out-rebounded the Bengals, 38-32 and fell to the Lady Techsters with one more rebound.

DIOP ON THE BLOCK - Sophomore center Banna Diop joined the career blocks list as she has 67 blocks as an Aggie thus far landing her fifth in school history. Diop tied the school record of eight blocks in a single game against Boise State (Jan. 7) in Logan.

SCHLOTT ON THE SPOT - Freshman guard Jennifer Schlott seems to have found her rhythm on the hardwood. After warming up in the beginning of the season, Schlott came out on fire at Northern Arizona (Dec. 4) with a career-high 13 points, including three three-point baskets. Schlott continued with 11 points in the game against San Francisco (Dec. 8) and added five assists.

WAC OPENERS AND BOISE STATE - The Aggies went head-to-head with Boise State in the 2006-07 WAC season opener and USU suffered a 80-70 loss to the Broncos in Logan but were able to defeat them Thursday, Jan. 6, 69-57. USU is 3-3 in WAC openers.

HOME SWEET HOME - Freshman guard Jennifer Schlott looked right at home playing in her home state of Arizona against Northern Arizona on Dec. 4. She upped her career high from two points to a stunning 13 in the Aggies 80-75 overtime win against the Lumberjacks. Playing in front of her family the freshman led the Aggies at the point adding three steals and rebounds to her final total in only 15 minutes of action. Junior forward Ashlee Brown, who is also a native of the Grand Canyon State, also played well in front of family. The forward topped her career-high with 26 points against the Lumberjacks in the come-from-behind win. She also added 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. She is the only Aggie to have a double-double this season.

OTHER AGGIE TIDBITS - • After coming off the bench for the first two games, while recovering from illness, junior forward Ashlee Brown made her first career start against Montana on Nov. 20.

• While Ashlee Brown was sick, senior forward Stacey Howard made her first career start against Dixie State and also started against North Dakota State.

• The Aggies are an international team with players from three different countries, including Australia (Stacey Howard, Alice Coddington and Maddy Plunkett), Senegal (Banna Diop) and 11 players from United States, none of whom are from the state of Utah.

COACH PEBLEY - Head coach Raegan Pebley is in her eighth season as head coach at Utah State, which is the longest tenure in the program's history. Five games into 2007-08 season, Pebley overtook the lead for the most games coached in Utah State history (116). She has now coached 219 games for the blue and white. Pebley now has 79 wins as Aggie head coach which places her above Cindy Perkins (51) on the all-time win list.

NEWCOMERS - The Aggies add five newcomers this year from all around the country. Junior transfer Reyneisha Mays joins the squad from Moorpark College (Granada Hills, Calif.) Junior Maddy Plunkett is a transfer from College of Southern Idaho, following in the footsteps of team mate senior LaCale Pringle-Buchanan. The three freshman joining the Aggies this year include Kamie Imai ( Waiakea HS) comes to USU from Pahoa, Hawaii. Jennifer Schlott from Mesa, Ariz. (Mountain View HS) and Stephanie Larson from Tustin, Calif. (Foothill HS).
