LOGAN, Utah - Utah State football players Bobby Wagner and Jacob Haueter were both recognized by collegefootballperformance.com for their performance in the Aggies' 24-17 loss to Louisiana Tech on Saturday. Wagner was named an honorable mention national Linebacker of the Week, while Haueter was tabbed an honorable mention Kickoff Specialist of the Week.

Both Wagner and Haeuter's hometowns are Ontario, with Wagner being from Ontario, Calif., while Haueter hails from Ontario, Ore.

Wagner, a senior linebacker from Ontario, Calif. (Colony HS), posted a career-high 20 tackles, which included two sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss. Wagner also had two quarterback hurries in the game. It was Wagner's sixth double-digit tackle outing in the Aggies' seven games and he now has 20 career games with double-figure stops. Wagner's 20 stops gives him 388 for his career, moving up to No. 4 on USU's Career Tackles list and No. 5 on the WAC's Career Tackles list. On the season, Wagner is tops in the WAC and third in FBS in tackles at 12.7 per game.

Haueter, a freshman placekicker from Ontario, Ore. (Ontario HS/Boise State), booted four kickoffs for a 69.5 ypko average, with two touchbacks.

The goal of College Football Performance Awards is to provide the most scientifically rigorous conferments in college football. Recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams.

Utah State will have its second and final bye of the season next week before returning to WAC play on Saturday, Nov. 5 when it plays at Hawai'i at 10 p.m. (MT).

The Aggies return home to the friendly confines of Merlin Olsen Field at Romney Stadium to host San Jose State on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m. (MT).
