        LOGAN, Utah - Utah State senior guard Devyn        Christensen was named the Western Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the        Week for the week ending, Nov. 25. This is her first WAC Player of the Week honor of the        season and the second of her career after earning the honor on Feb. 7, 2011.
        She also earned her first American First Credit Union Utah State Student-Athlete of the        Week honor of the season for her efforts.
        The Caldwell, Idaho native averaged 28.0 points, 6.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0        steals per game as the Aggies won the Great Alaska Shootout with wins over Prairie View        A&M (67-66) and Alaska Anchorage (67-57). In the win over Prairie View A&M,        Christensen scored 24 points to give the Aggies their first win of the season. She hit a        three-pointer, one of six on the game, with eight seconds left on the clock to give USU the        67-66 win. She also added a career-high eight assists. In USU's win against UAA,        Christensen had a career-high 32 points, once again hitting six treys. For her efforts, she        was named MVP of the Great Alaska Shootout. For the week, she shot 42.5 percent from the        field (17-of-40) and 42.9 percent from downtown (12-of-28). She also added 12 assists and        eight steals in the two games. The tournament title was the first ever for Utah State.
        In the game against PVAMU, Christensen became the seventh Aggie to break the 1,000-point        plateau. She now has 1,033 points in her Utah State career, which places her sixth on the        all-time scoring list. Utah State's all-time leader in scoring is Jerrie McGaham (19977-80)        who scored 1,353 points as an Aggie.
        Utah State (2-3) will remain on the road but will play in the Beehive State, taking on        in-state rival Utah on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. in Salt Lake City.

        FOOTBALL - Senior defensive back Will Davis (Spokane, Wash.) had five tackles (4-solo), one        pass breakup and one quarterback hurry in helping Utah State to a 38-7 home win against        Texas State last weekend. Davis also recorded his third interception in as many weeks in        the Bobcats end zone on their first drive of the game. Overall, Davis helped hold the        Bobcats to a season-low 158 yards of total offense (82-rushing, 76-passing), which are the        fewest allowed by USU since the 2008 season. Furthermore, TSU's 76 passing yards are the        fewest allowed by an Aggie defense since 2000.
        VOLLEYBALL - Senior outside hitter Josselyn White (Smithfield, Utah) helped Utah State        win a share of its first-ever regular season WAC title with road wins at Denver (3-2) and        New Mexico State (3-1) last weekend. Against DU, White had 11 kills to go along with nine        digs and two blocks. Versus NMSU, she had 13 kills and five blocks and hit .297 (13-2-37)        in the match. For the weekend, White hit .198 (24-8-81) and averaged 2.67 kills, 1.44 digs        and 0.80 blocks per set.
