Preston Medlin has signed a professional basketball contract to play for BK Saldus in the Latvian Basketball League. Medlin broke the news via his twitter account on Wednesday.
Medlin finished third on the team last season, averaging 12.4 points per game. The 6-4 guard led the team in 3-point field goals with 70 long-range buckets and was also tops on the team with 4.1 assists per game.
BK Saldus finished as high as second in the Latvian league two years ago, but opened its 2014-15 season with a 77-54 loss to Liepaja/Triobet on Oct. 5. The league is made up of ten teams with Ventspils claiming the team title in 2013-14. The city of Saldus is in the Southeast of Lativa and has a population of almost 13,000.
