LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men's basketball had four players in double figures and two with near double-doubles as the Aggies posted a 75-63 victory over Wayland Baptist on Saturday night. The win moves USU to 7-5 on the year and punctuates the team's non-conference schedule. The Pioneers suffered just their second loss in 2014-15, falling to 11-2 with the defeat.

Utah State scored the first basket of the game and then held the Pioneers to less than 40 percent shooting during the night, marking the fifth consecutive contest the Aggies have held an opponent to less than 40 percent from the floor. Wayland Baptist finished the night shooting 37.3 percent (22-of-59), including 21.1 percent (4-of-19) from deep and added a 71.4 percent (15-of-21) showing at the free throw line.

Jalen Moore put the first points on the board as the sophomore wing opened the scoring less than one minute into the game to give the Aggies a lead that would stay with the home side throughout the game. Junior guard Darius Perkins gave Utah State its first double-digit lead of the night when his jump shot at 4:50 put USU up 10, 28-18. A five-point push by the Pioneers trimmed the margin to six, 33-27, going into the break.

The gap was whittled to three early in the second half as senior forward Royal Crouch scored seven of WBU's first 11 points, putting the score at 41-38 a the 16:00 mark. Utah State answered with a five-point swing minutes later to put the lead back into double-digits, 53-42, on an offensive put back by senior forward Sean Harris. The difference grew to as much as 15, 69-54, when freshman guard Julion Pearre hit a 3-pointer with 4:33 to play, giving the home side its largest lead of the game. The double-digit lead held down the stretch as back-to-back free throws by sophomore guard JoJo McGlaston capped the Utah State victory, 75-63.

Moore led four Aggies in double figures with 17 points and was followed by redshirt freshman forward David Collette with 14, McGlaston with 12 and Harris with a career-high 10 points on 5-for-5 shooting. Harris also pulled down a career-high eight rebounds, trailing Moore with nine, as the Aggies out-rebounded an opponent for the first time this season, 37-35.
