Utah State Athletics has announced some game day information for fans in preparation for Saturday’s Mountain West opener against Colorado State on Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium.
The Aggies, fresh off their only bye week of the season, enter the game with a 1-2 overall record. The Rams are 2-2 following a 33-31 road win at UTSA last Saturday. Gates at Maverik Stadium will open at 3:30 p.m. with kickoff slated for 5 p.m.
Saturday is also Homecoming for the Aggies, who will don all-white uniforms. All fans are encouraged to also wear white for the “White Out” game, which will stream live on ESPN3.
Tickets for Saturday’s game can still be purchased at the USU Ticket Office at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., or by calling 1-888-USTATE-1 or (435) 797-0305. Tickets will also be available at the gate, with the Maverik Stadium south ticket office opening at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning and the north ticket office opening at 2 p.m.
There are a limited number of east-side tickets, which start at $24, remaining for the game. There are numerous activities for fans to enjoy leading up to kickoff, including Utah State’s home volleyball match against UNLV, which begins at 11 a.m. on Kirby Court at the Wayne Estes Center. Fans holding a ticket for the football game will be admitted for $1.
The Homecoming parade starts at noon on Saturday. The route runs along Main Street from Center Street to 800 North in Logan.
Following the volleyball match and parade, fans are invited to tailgate at the Maceys Fan Fest, which begins at 2 p.m. and is located west of Maverik Stadium on 800 East. Live music will be provided by the Fender Benders, presented by Edge Rock & Moto Clothing.
Fans can also get autographs from Aggie legends Mike Hamby (football), Tony Adams (football) and Gary Wilkinson (men’s basketball), as well as from the men’s and women’s basketball teams, and track & field team.
Other tailgate activities include inflatable toys and carnival games, food trucks presented by Bone House BBQ and an appearance by the Utah State spirit squads.
Utah State fans are invited to meet at the Merlin Olsen statue on the south side of Maverik Stadium at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday for a moment of silence as we pay tribute to members of our Aggie Family who have passed away. The tribute will be conducted by Tojo Fairman, the chaplain for the football team.
The Ag Day BBQ will take place from 2:30-4:30 p.m. on Saturday at Craig Aston Park, located at 1307 N. 800 East in Logan. Cost is $5 for those between the ages of 3-10 and $10 for those 11-years-old and up.
A pre-game Harley ride presented by Saddleback Harley-Davidson will take place 20 minutes prior to kickoff on Merlin Olsen Field.
At the conclusion of the game, fans are encouraged to stick around for the fifth quarter, which will feature the Just Jumpin’ Jump Rope Team.
Road Closures
Beginning at 10 a.m., 800 East will be closed until 10 p.m. In addition, 1000 North will be closed from 3-9 p.m.
Please Recycle
Utah State will be competing against other colleges and universities across the nation in this year’s Game Day Recycling Challenge – a waste reduction and recycling competition. In the Aggies’ Homecoming game against Colorado State, the school’s will not only be competing for points, but fans will also be competing in pounds of material diverted through recycling, composting and food donations versus the amount thrown away in the stadium and tailgate areas. Fans are encouraged to show their Aggie spirit by using the Pepsi recycling bins and re-using their commemorative cups.

• The parking lot located directly east of Maverik Stadium is open to Blue Permit holders.
• In-venue restrooms are located at the following locations: Upper concourse on the east side; south concourse; above Section 8 in the northwest corner of the stadium.
• The closest parking lots for the general public/non-Blue Permit holders are located on the corners of 1400 North and 800 East, or 1200 East and 1100 North.
