SCOUTING COLORADO STATE ââ'¬" In just its third year of being a program, Colorado State has a 3-12-2 record this season, still seeking its first Mountain West win at 0-7-1. The Rams opened the conference portion of the season battling to a 2-2 draw against Fresno State, but have since lost seven-straight. CSU opened the year in a 1-0 win over Denver, later finding back-to-back victories over Northern Colorado (3-1) and Nebraska-Omaha (1-0).
Freshman forward Hannah Gerdin is the leading scorer for Colorado State, tallying five goals and one assist on the year. As a team, CSU has scored 13 goals, nine of which have had accompanying assists. Redshirt junior Jesse McGinley is the starting goalkeeper for the Rams, playing all but 34 minutes of the season. She has collected 79 saves, while allowing 23 goals for a 1.49 goals against average. As the only head coach in the history of the program, Bill Hempen has a 9-40-5 record at Colorado State and 285-228-49 overall record in his 27 years as a head coach. In addition to creating the CSU program, Hempen was the first head coach at Duke, where he coached for 13 seasons. He then spent 11 years at Colorado, rebuilding the team before taking the Colorado State position.
Utah State joined the Mountain West in 2013, the same season the Colorado State program was established. The Aggies have won both prior meetings, topping the Rams 1-0 in Logan last season and 3-0 in the last trip to Fort Collins in 2013.
SCOUTING WYOMING ââ'¬" Wyoming has been all over the board with its results this season, sitting at 7-5-4 overall and 3-4-1 in Mountain West action. The Cowgirls opened the year in a 3-0 home victory before battling to three-straight draws in road games. The team then returned to Laramie, where it won three-consecutive matches. Wyoming's league wins have come against Fresno State (3-0), Air Force (1-0) and UNLV (2-1). The team will host Boise State on Friday before playing the Aggies.

This season, the Cowgirls are missing sophomore forward Kaitlyn Lomsnes, who is out with an injury. She was named both the Freshman and Offensive Player of the Year by the Mountain West last season. The reigning Mountain West Coach of the Year, Pete Cuadrado is in his fourth season at the helm of the Wyoming program. There, he has compiled a 22-24-10 record, while he has a career record of 126-95-29 in 13 years as a head coach.

Brooksby got back in scoring mode against Air Force Friday, snapping her six-game scoring skid with a goal in the 68th minute. She followed that up with a pair of goals and an assist two days later against Colorado College. She now has 10 goals and four assists on the season.
